The best way to teach kids about money is to show them it runs out

That’s why giving large amounts of pocket money or indulging every whim and purchase might not be the best approach. Kids need to understand the difference between what they want and what they need. They should be able to make that choice, and ideally, manage a budget. This way, they will appreciate what they have and learn to work towards what they want. But it will be their choice.
