Biden’s team is rushing to tackle some big-ticket plans before leaving office.

Here’s what’s just done or in motion:

  • Authorization for Ukraine to strike deeper into Russia with U.S.-supplied missiles.
  • A ceasefire deal between Israel and Hezbollah – there might be news today already.
  • The Office of Management and Budget is requesting roughly $100 billion for more than a dozen federal agencies to help with natural disaster recovery.
  • Getting infrastructure spending out the door – over $3.4 billion in grants announced for projects designed to improve passenger rail service, help U.S. ports, reduce highway deaths and support domestic manufacturing of sustainable transportation materials.
  • Speeding up environmental goals – grants and project approvals.
  • Student loan forgiveness – the Education Department has been hurrying to finalize a new federal rule that would cancel student loans for people who face financial hardship.
  • Racing to deliver billions of dollars of promised chip manufacturing grants to Intel and others to complete a significant portion of a favored program of President Biden.
  • Getting Senate confirmation of as many federal judges as possible before Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.
  • Top antitrust officials plan to take more shots at the tech industry: Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Microsoft are under fire.

So, that’s what they’re up to. What about you? Planning to finally push yourself to pay off that overdue bill before Christmas?😏
