The app is currently only available in the Philippines and is not available on the US App Store. Google is apparently testing in a few countries before rolling out the service more widely. In terms of functionality, Gemini in the application is not inferior to gemini.google.com. A standalone Gemini app will offer iPhone users a more seamless way to interact with the Google Assistant. However, it’s unclear whether it will ultimately replace the existing Google app integration or whether both options will work.
