The U.S. government is about to blow through $6.8 trillion in 2024 – highest since 2021

Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security? A monstrous $3.1 trillion, eating up 46% of the pie.
Defense and non-defense? $1.8 trillion, or 27%, because why not.
Oh, and interest payments? Nearly $900 billion just to keep the debt ballooning.
All this while pulling in $4.7 trillion in revenue.
The $1.9 trillion gap? Borrowed, naturally. Highest in 3 years.

The U.S. government doesn’t just have a spending problem. It’s addicted.
