While the CPI inflation in the U.S. has risen by approximately 6.0% over the past 2 years, inflation on many essential goods has been much higher.

Transportation service prices have surged by 18.5% since June 2022.

During the same period, housing and services inflation increased by 13.5% and 11.0%, respectively.

Prices for water, sewage, waste disposal, and electricity have risen by around 10%.

Even food and beverage prices have gone up by 8% since June 2022.

Affordability continues to deteriorate.
